Derek Redmond passed his motor cycle test a couple of years ago, but the British roads were not a big enough challenge.

Derek signed up for a 1700km charity bike ride across some of the harshest terrain South Africa could offer.  He raised £5,000 for charity through this amazing off road adventure called Enduro Africa.

On his return to the UK his focus returned to tarmac, but not the roads.  With the benefit of some excellent coaching from motor cycle racing legend Ron Haslam, Derek is in pursuit of a racing licence.  He can be spotted on various tracks around the UK and Spain riding his 1000cc, race prepared Kawasaki.  Derek's enrolement at California Superbikes School attracted attention from the media with a feature in the October edition (available from late August) of Fast Bikes Magazine and a program for Motors TV to be broadcast on 24th September.
